Why shouldn't we do this with knitting as well?

A question frequently asked in the circles of KIP.

And indeed, why not. The first attempts can be found already. The only problem is that the world of knitting and crochet can chose between knitting extreme projects and knitting at extreme places. For us extreme knitting is definitely location bound: hanging on a liana, in a gutter, in a ravine etc.
